Bot Raids and Prevention Methods

Hey Discord, Recently, I’ve been seeing a large amount of bot members, especially NSFW but also Scam Bots and such that are easily able to infiltrate large servers with custom invite codes. This is because they can DM any member even if they cannot see them on the sidebar and only limited measures can be put in place to make sure only the bots are being banned. Some members of the community who are well known for bot coding have been able to come up with a solution but as mentioned earlier, can only do so much. I would like to propose a system that can help with the safety of members of larger servers that would mean it is easier to prevent these bots from DMing users. My idea includes members only being able to DM users who they can actively see on the sidebar and are not friends with. This would allow for verification systems to function properly as the bots would not be able to DM members before verifying, which they cannot do. Another solution includes using the Community feature of agreeing to the rules upon entry to the server. If someone has not done this, it would mean that they cannot DM any users from the server and it creates a working verification system. This could be paired with a basic Captcha code to verify that it is not a bot. Thanks!
