Changing the emoji on the text entry line

In the Windows app for Discord, the emoji on the text entry line requires an actual click to select the one you really want, or repeatedly mouse overs of the emoji for a random change.

Cool.  However...

What if you could hover over the emoji and use the scroll wheel on the mouse to cycle the emoji to another one? Randomly as if it were a new mouse over would be fine.
