So Discord might be one of the coolest chat apps I've seen, and I don't see a reason why children under 13 should be blacklisted and banned. I mean, even if there's some sort of damn coppa thing, they could just make a new feature called kids account that for example censors out all the bad stuff and they ENTIRELY can't access an nsfw channel. Or maybe a Discord Junior where the rules, globally, are strict, like Scratch, (which you'll be muted for ten minutes if you try to tell someone the full form of LMAO)

    This is just the companies policy. They don't want underage users under the age of 13 to be on the platform. Mostly due to laws like Lala Sabathil stated.

    This also helps prevent issues ranging from malicious people on the internet and NSFW content. Discord can't restrict videos from not being sent out of the nsfw channel. It would be up to the server owners to moderate. It would just be a unsafe practice to allow kids on the platform. If there is a user under the age of 13 on discord, please report it to discord support.
