The Latest Style Change Has Some Fumbles

From a design perspective I personally think that the simpler icon is good, and it probably works better for when it is small or seen from a distance. What I especially find baffling in particular though is the new choices of font and colors. The font itself is a poor design choice with a lack of proper kerning, as well as an uneven height for the lowercase letters which gives it a childish and outdated appearance. I imagine that for many people they can't read it without getting distracted by the weird "i".

In addition, the choices in colour design are poor. Why did you take away the colours for when you @ a person? But also, the new "Blurple" you have is already harsh on the eyes and it will make it harder for people to use when shown on screen.

  Yes exactly, this new font looks childish. It's really hard to read and just aesthetically unpleasant.

  I really don't like the new color, It's harsher on the eyes, especially at night when I use Discord the most.

  Well said. I am having a hard time imagining who okay'd the font or the color.
