Discord's New Style is an Eyesore.

Color: I don't really know why discord changed the purple color, in fact, I loved and I know many others did too the old blurple color a lot. The new color looks so generic and non-discord-ey if you know what I mean. The new color looks like a blue you find everywhere, it looks unnatural in the discord setting and it takes away from the entire feel of discord. I don't want this oversaturated Walmart looking blue on my screen!! I want the old soothing darker purple that it's always had.

UI changes:

The new reactions graphic looks so large and out of place, the dark black stands out way to much along the gray background of discord (hard to see in the screenshot but trust me). Not just that but it looks insanely huge and distracting when not very many people react and the numbers are only 1-9. Also the @ logo looks utterly horrible, why is it blue??? I liked the old way where it just sat nicely in gray and when you scrolled over it it turned blue. Now it just stands out too much and ruins the feel and simplistic approach discord had going. It looks like you accidentally selected it and is constantly throwing me off.

Clyde:

I honestly don't mind the changes to Clyde. Clyde looks a lot cleaner and retains the exact same look he did originally. I don't really think Clyde warranted a change but out of all the awful introductions this update has brought this is the least harmful addition.

Font: Good lord... I just can't with this one. Why is the "i" so messed up??? why is it so wonkey and out of place?? You thought Clyde wasn't symmetrical well look at this font good lord. Discord used to look clean and simple and this just throws it off the edge.

Conclusion: I feel like discord is trying to brand itself more generically, you can see this with the wonky font, generic color scheme, simplification of clyde, etc. I really think Discord made the wrong descision here. If it ain't broke don't fix it! There was nothing wrong with the old look, in fact i'd argue the old one looked more modern and more in place. Discord please, bring us back what we like.
