Deny text messages in channel

Is there any feature or plans to block text messages and only allow pasting of images and embedded links and add reactions in a text channel.
Having send messages blocked and embed links allowed doesn't make sense...
An example is a gallery channel where users can post images or videos but are denied typing responses (in this case there is a response channel where users can use a reply link example https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/*.jpg
