How to change your email address

The current method of changing the e-mail address is to send the authentication code to the old address, but with this method, after changing the e-mail address, the authentication code cannot be received and cannot be changed.
When I contacted support, I was told that it could not be changed except by receiving an authorization code, and support told me that due to security and privacy concerns, they could not make the change and there was no other way.
In that case, I was told that if I wanted to change my email address, I would have to recreate my account.

    Exactly. I am very disappointed in Discord for not adding a basic feature like this. Being able to change the email on your account if you do not have access should be a requirement. I am shocked at how bad Discord's support is. Many other platforms have support systems that are very well built, but Discord seems to not care about their users because they do not put in the effort to make a proper support system.

    It is very disappointing.
    It should be possible to authenticate with a phone number, etc.

    I agree. I'm not giving up either. That is why I keep logging onto this forum, even after all of these months.

    It might seem hopeless to some that they will ever fix these things, but there is still a chance. It's not impossible that they will fix this issue (and other issues) one day.
