Option to merge or archive text channels

Allow a simple button or preset to be available for archiving text channels that automatically changes permissions for a channel to be in a “archived” state where posts cannot be made; like putting everyone in that channel into a indefinite timeout or something.

For merging channels, posts made in one text channel can transferred to another, where they could either be appended to the channel it's being merged to, or left in-order of when that merged channels' post was made.

    Can discord please give this a try?? It would make tiding up the server so much better without losing everything. Even if it's a simple merge as thread option.

    I'd like to see this, especially in the case of moving text channels to forum threads & back. I like to use forum channels as kind a “misc channels” area and to be able to transfer more heavily used channels out of there would be really nice.
