Solution to the new mobile layout

Based on what I've seen in the feedback forums I'm far from alone in the dislike of this new mobile UI layout. A short list of the “features” that make discord a worse, and arguably unusable, experience on mobile are as follows:

Swiping between the ‘server’ and ‘mobile’ tab's takes ages. Before it was easy to swipe to the left, tap on the DM's menu, and you were there. The servers were easily accessible, everything was in its “own place” so to speak. We didn't' have every DM and server in one list, rather DM's were nested in the discord icon button and the servers were separate.

It's ugly. The new UI looks ugly, it looks corporate, it looks like discord mobile is conforming to the industry standard. This sucks because discord's unique layout was a huge reason I loved the service. The new one looks bubbly, it looks modern, it looks gross. Everything is too round.

Its unintuitive to use. Why is everything on the bottom bar now? That makes it far harder to use. Holding my phone, my thumb is rarely down towards the bottom of the screen, its usually at the top or middle. Making the old sidebar far easier to navigate and use.

The bottom bar disappears. As mentioned above, it takes longer to get from place to place. A huge part of that is because the bottom bar disappears when you're in DM's and servers I have to swipe out of the conversation, out of the server, tap the bottom, then tap where I want to go. Compared to my one swipe one tap system from before, this takes longer.

Despite these issues there are those who like the update. Why they enjoy this update is beyond me. To keep everyone happy, here is my suggestion. Reimplement the toggle. Its clear that they are able to swap between them as that feature existed in the prerelease.

OLD SUGGESTION: EDITED BASED ON FEEDBACK RECIEVED:

Allow Nitro users to have the toggle for the old and new mobile layouts. It would be ideal for everyone to toggle as they see fit, however this keeps everyone happy as it allows discord to incentivize nitro more and it allows people to be happier using the mobile app. As much as it sucks to say, discord is still a company, and it's doubtful that we can convince them to let everyone toggle. However that is what I want. I don't want this feature restricted to nitro users exclusively.

I agreed with everything you said, but then you suggested only allowing Nitro users to switch back. Discord is a vital free service to many, including disabled users like me. I do not pay for Nitro because I can't. And Discord has been my gateway to my entire social life for over 7 years. I use it as the main way to talk to my best friend of over 20 years. It is a main communication method with my spouse. It is how I keep in touch with my brother. It's also how I manage recipes and meal planning, it's my notepad for just about everything, and it was how I managed teamwork with classmates in university.

This update has impacted people in very important ways. My spouse uses Discord to manage his team at his high-level job, ffs.

The previous version needs to be available to EVERYONE, regardless of their ability to pay.

Old layout only for nitro users? I am nitro, but this is like saying that the new layout is a punishment. I also hate the new UI, but I think is not the solution. The new layout has good ideas, but the 90% are just problems.

Hello There! I want to Bring Back the New Discord App Layout for Me as User and Not Everyone's Choice! Because for Me as User, The Old Discord Layout Sucks so Bad!!! Because before I had to Notice if you want to bring Back the Old Layout, Old Discord Layout is Now Overrated!!!
