Request to Add Image or GIF Capabilites to "About Me" Profile Section

Hi Discord Team and fellow discorders, after looking at dozens of profiles I have found many to be carefully and creatively curated, neglecting no detail. This unique form of self expression is evident in the names, avatars, backgrounds, customs statuses, profile effects, the tilt of the fonts, and so much more. Now in time the Discord Team will surely add more ways to customize one's profile but with this post I would like to propose an idea. This idea being that images and GIFs, say it right, should be implemented into the "About Me" profile section. This ability to implement pictures is seen throughout Discord and would be a neat addition to profile customization. However, if there are technical limitations or something else I am unaware I understand and will be content. Ending on a positive note though, I will be the first to say I am deeply appreciative of the Discord Team for their own effort to curate Discord into one of the best online platforms for self-expression; and I can not wait to see what surprises are in store for the future.

While Discord gets criticized in some areas (such as the new mobile UI and usage of moderation bots), the platform most certainly has more ups than it has downs like you have mentioned. Adding more customization to the user profile via. adding GIFs in the ‘about me’ section sounds like an excellent idea and gives more decorative freedom to pretty much anyone on Discord. Hopefully the higherups listen to our feedback so that the platform is more expressive than ever before!
