Does discord on ios clear its cache over time?

Discord app starting to really build up storage but i dont remember it being this way, had the app for years and it always seemed maintained in terms of storage but now ballooning. Will that eventually cleaned up and get yeeted from the phone? If not ill delete/reinstall but i got poo poo internet so rather keep what loaded up.
