Allow capitalization of text channel names

Hello Discord Community!

I would like to show you my last idea for Discord servers.

Everyone who has created a server once will know that text channels can’t start with a capital letter at their beginning unless you use a different font than normal.

My idea is to allow to use capital letters at the beginning of names’ text channels.

If you are thinking about why to do it, I think it would be great because if you use a different font you can’t mention the channel anymore.

    That’s an interesting suggestion for Discord! Having the ability to capitalize text channel names could indeed make server navigation more intuitive and maintain consistency with channel mentions.

    I agree with that.

    Hello BuenaGente,

    I completely agree with your suggestion that Discord should let us use Upper Case letters in Text Chat and or Text Channel names. I have no idea why this was never an option to begin with since Voice Channels are do it. Plus if they make this change countless servers will adopt the new format and not only a few outliers would be using special fonts.
