Add channel keys (roles that only let you see a channel)

I have probably hundreds of roles that exist for one purpose: to let people see a channel. These roles have no permissions at all. They are purely "keys" to a particular voice or text channel. It would be nice if there were a separate "Keys" tab where you could create Roles that are JUST tied to a channel.

So for example I run a Gaming Club at my university, and we have tons of sub-clubs - the Board Games Community, Fighting Games Community, etc. There are roles for each of these, and people can join them via bots.

The roles JUST let people see #board-games #fighting-games etc. They do not do anything besides let them see a channel. If there were a way to differentiate these from, say, my Moderator rank etc, that would be nice. With literally 300+ roles on my Discord, it is hard to organize and manage my Roles.

I wonder if it's really needed to have so many roles in that case.
Isn't it possible to use the general role permissions and in channel permissions take away some of the original permissions for those roles? What advantage do you get from making extra roles for each sub-club just to read a channel?
