Default Server Channel
Ability to set a default server text channel that new users will log into regardless of which channel is used for instant invite. Potentially the channel users see every time they log into their Discord as well.

Just wanna tack onto this that it's intended to make it so that channel organization is more arbitrary. That way, for instance, you can sort your channels alphabetically, but have new users in a server see a channel called #server-rules (which would be near the bottom of the channel list) by default.
That way, trolls have no excuse for saying "Oh I never saw the rules. Didn't know they were there."

Batcastle how about not ordering your server alphabetically, ever thought of that, that is the dumbest and weakest argument I have ever heard. Just order you channels so rules is at the top.

it's really simple, if you want the new user to spawn in the welcome channel, you must send an invite from that channel. for example, go onto the welcome channel, then click on the dropdown in the top left corner, then send an invite. then the new user will spawn in that channel :D
