make a ping that will disappear after about 30 minutes, for events that are only relevant for a short period of time, like game invites, or stream announcements

    I think this would be cool, although maybe they can just make it so when you delete a message with a mention or edit the mention out it will actually remove the ping icon (I know it can't remove the desktop/mobile notifications though).
