Play audio files from chats in the background

My friend and I both make music, and regularly send each other audio clips of progress to share and give each other feedback. But I can't leave the chat before I've listened through, or it cuts off.
Would it be possible to make an embedded audio-bar somewhere when leaving a DM channel playing audio so we could keep listening while chatting with our other friends?

    Would like to second this and bump it up higher; when playing an audio file through discord, if you flip to another channel, audio playback is stopped. Could this be handled by a small window off to the side of the main chat window that follows you around discord playing back whatever audio file it is you were listening to, regardless of whether you're still viewing that channel/DM/conversation or not?
