    +1 to that. If Discord insists on having this option, at least have it as a toggle in settings. Like you, I want to know who is online when I log in. I seldom want to add a friend.

    If it ain't broke, don't fix it, Discord.

    Who do these people think they are, randomly changing things that no one asked for to be changed? They think they can just do whatever they want and not expect any kind of negative reactions?

    It is bad enough that I can't set online friends to my default screen instead of seeing the "activity" feed (or rather the "advertisement" feed, as I like to think of it) first, but now I have to click on friends and online friends before I get to the part of Discord that I actually care about, which is naturally, seeing who else is online.

    I genuinely thought this was a bug until it continued to happen after the third or fourth Discord restart. It's doing it in the desktop app version too, not just the browser. I can't wrap my head around why they thought this was a good idea.

    @SneakyDactyl

    In the browser version there is Settings > App Settings > Appearance > Show Activity Feed

    That might be something you are looking for.

    I normally use the App (on a Windows 10 machine) but attempted to go through the browser to find the Settings > App Settings... that you mention.  All I can find is "User Settings" which has no "App Settings" option.  Am I looking in the wrong place?

    Thank you!
