Discord App For Xbox One and PS4
Because admins keep closing request and linking a thread that doesn't exist I would hope this one can stay. The integration of Discord on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 would be amazing. Skype has already been added to Xbox and I instantly uninstalled it due to the blinding light that seems to be brighter than the my future. I mainly use Discord to record with my friends and sometimes if I'm on the PC playing Minecraft with the boys and some are on the Xbox while some of us are on the PC and the Xbox app is annoying. It would be awesome if Sony would allow you to add an app too but they can be pretty strict when it comes to third party apps.Hopefully this feature can be integrated into the Xbox and maybe the PlayStation, That would be an EPIC gamer moment.

Hey Discord, as you may have seen a lot of games are starting to go cross platform. I am a PC player but my brother is on ps4. We both play Rainbow Six Siege and cross platform just got announced. We have no real way for communicating on these except through in game. I think this would be the perfect time and opportunity for Discord to make this available for PlayStation and Xbox. Since all of these games are going cross platform. I feel like it would be a good step and make Discord more popular and expand on your brand. (also helping more gamers come together

This is a huge opportunity for Discord, as cross platform play is becoming more accepted. Don't allow your company to become complacent. Embrace cross platform and help your users communicate across those platforms before another company comes along and does it for you.

why don't you just download discord app on your mobile? There is most probably some constraint on ps4 and xbox one that doesn't allow to implement discord for those platforms

It's a lot easier to use your headset that you have on your console with an app.

Not only that, you cant stream from your PS4 like you can with Twitch. that would be the goal imo

You can stream from your PS4. I've been doing it for years. It works with Youtube and Twitch. It also had Ustream at one point.

Even just basic text and voice would be appreciated. Had to send my motherboard in for repair, and being without a phone, the PS4 is all I have to browse the internet with, and uh... Browser version of Discord doesn't work there. It bugs out when typing and you can't actually send messages. ;(

This is much needed and there are quite a few people that search up difficult methods to try and play PS4 with discord. I am a PS4 and PC player. I have a friend that can only play rocket league on PS4 and he has to use his phone with PS4 on in the background.
Please talk to Sony, as they will need you more than Microsoft will for this feature 🙏.

example, discord is necesary for play with friends warzone with PC and PS4. Is really dificult create the app for ps4 and more? the people need.

I have to agree with the fellow subscribers. Now when the ps5 and the Xbox Series consoles have launched I would say that it is more important than ever. More games are being developed with the crossplay feature and it would be awesome to communicate with my buddies at xbox and PC while I'm on the ps5.
Is there any chance you can make this happend? :)

Has Discord made any response to this? I'm sure there is a reason it's not on Xbox/PS - But, rather than just being quiet on the response, it would be nice to hear an official response back.

Last i heard Microsoft wrote a statement whether they will buy discord for use in the xbox or not.
