Can you give certain roles permission to be displayed as live when they stream on twitch?
I know that if someone integrates their twitch (or other streaming) profile with their discord profile, when they go live people on discord can see that they have gone live. I am trying to make a discord server for my own twitch channel, and I want to have a bit of control over who all will get the purple status icon. Is there a way to give only certain roles permission to have the purple streaming status icon? With that, is it possible to have that role be displayed above other roles, only when they are live? Thanks in advance!

Sadly, no, because it's their global discord status. But if you do know who streams frequently you could give them something like a streamer roll and then have that displayed above everyone else

Dang. Someone on Reddit told me about the Streamcord bot when I asked about the same thing, so I'll try that. I have also made a streamer roll, I was just hoping I could make the role the only role that would display when someone is streaming. Thanks for the tip tho

you can do this by setting up twitch/youtube alerts within the MEE6 bot. note: it is a premium feature. there is an option within the alert setup which allows you to award a specific role to someone who is currently live streaming, the role is then automatically removed when the user ends their stream.
