Linux desktop client crash on krisp module download

Discord tries to download krisp module and crashes, then exits after 2 tries. See log below. Tried moving the config out, so it starts fresh, even made a new user and downloaded the version in a tarfile from discord site. The outcome is always the same, if I go to the url mentioned with curl or browser, I get "Access denied. Anonymous caller does not have storage.objects.get access to the Google Cloud Storage object." That seems consistent with what the app is trying to do, unless this one module is stored differently and I should be able to pull it without credentials. In which case it should note the error and move on, but not crash.
