Suggestion: Hide user's messages in a server/channel WITHOUT blocking them

I'm in a lot of fandom servers. I have several friends who I love as people and I love our conversations about some topics...but we also have those Little Fandom Disagreements that make me want to scream sometimes. I would love to be able to hide their messages (and especially attachments and embeds) in specifically the servers and channels that tend to cause these conflicts without blocking them outright.

    please please please. i came here just to post almost this same thing. i have people where i dislike seeing their messages but i don't want to subject them to other features of blocking/have them know theyre blocked (can't react to my messages/dm me/ etc.) a mute button of some sort for text would be perfect.

    Seconded. Sometimes you just need to create distance between yourself and a friend for a while -- not permanently and not with them knowing.

    This x1000000. I have an IRL friend that I could not block because it would hurt their feelings, but I would rather not see the things they post for my own sanity.
