Discord slowing down Linux

Hello, I noticed that discord loses performance over time and starts to slow down itself and my whole computer at some point. I am running Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS and tried out the stable discord linux client aswell as the ptb client, both suffer the same issue, the client starts to get unresponsive after time whenever I am in a voice chat, it feels like there is a big latency suddenly, when I type something in the chat, the letters show up after 3 seconds, this is not good and it can't be my computer since all other programs run fine as does my browser which I have to use from now on for discord only because the client is absolutely not usable for me.

 

To the devs if they maybe read this: is there some debug outout I could give you so you guys could actually check this and maybe resolve this issue?

    Try reinstalling discord

    happens to me too, I even made a hotkey to reset discord

    Also having the same issue in Linux Mint 20 using XFCe as my DE. When i am in discord there is massive latency when someone leaves the voice chat the leave sound does not play until 30 seconds after they leave.

    Same issue on Linux Mint Xfce, I'm tired to reset Discord every time

    Same issue on Manjaro i3. At times, it becomes so insufferable, I have to kill the process from a tty terminal since my system freezes completely. P.S. I am running a very beefy system.
