Link Discord Account to Oculus Quest / Oculus Quest 2

My idea is an Xbox-like integration, where it shows what I'm playing on the Oculus headset, Discord has worked with Facebook (the parent company of Oculus) before for the Facebook integration

I Made a mockup to simulate how it might look

This is mainly for rich presence / Discord Activity Chat, But If This could also offer discord chat on the headset, that would be amazing (like for VRChat with my friend who's playing on a flatscreen)

    I actually think this is a great idea! It would most likely mean having to make the discord app for the quest itself, but being able to talk to friends and even stream games without having to link the headset up to your pc or use virtual desktop would really help people have fun and hang out with their friends while playing in VR. And it would be great to allow people to easily upload screenshots or recordings of their vr games to servers without having to transfer them over to their PC first. The main issue is that (and im not expert when i say this) they would probably have to make an entirely new version of discord so that it would work properly with the oculus quest. But overall I feel that it would be an amazing way to talk, stream, and hang out with friends while playing in VR!

    Tali | Lex | COM50c Actually, The Oculus quest is based on android, so just tweaking the android version to work with VR Would work!

    Also even if they dont make discord for the oculus quest, they didn't make discord for the Xbox Series S|X Or Xbox One, and if I open a game on one of those systems it will show on discord "Playing Fifa 21 On Xbox One" So It's not as hard as you might think to port Discord to the Oculus store (especially since they have worked with Facebook for the Facebook friends integration)

    They don't need to make an entirely new version of discord so it can work on the Quest. The quest is running android and u can just sideload the discord app or use the web version

    an Oculus/Meta integration would be nice to have to go with the Xbox and PlayStation integrations
