Please do not tie Nitro "gifts" to countries.

If I couldn't find the correct feedback post that should be "merged" with this duplicate, I apologize.

I do not care about the technical aspects behind finding other huge companies to "gift" us various tiers of Nitro subscribers various gifts. I spent many hours trying to redeem a Microsoft redeemable, only to finally come to the Microsoft support article answering my one question:

The code could not be redeemed on a non-U.S. account. That is to say, I needed a U.S. credit card, or some other payment vendor, in order to "redeem" this "gift".

There is nothing that Discord has done "wrong", per se, other than the way it chooses its giveaway promotions. But this wasted time was not a gift. It was not free. Yes, Discord needs money to keep its servers alive. But, just like all other VC technology products, Discord is getting WORSE. And in the end, it is because it is owned by shareholders who are interested in profit. There is no political message here, there is only a request: please stop adding useless perks to this app for the highest bidder. In the long run, Discord will die because of it. And I, along with all other users (eventually), will move to another "platform". That is what Discord has become.

I will let my Nitro subscription run out, as it has recently downgraded itself to "normal" Nitro. Classic. $5/month. Good luck paying the bills, I really love the technology and I love this app. But I would much rather go back to hosting my own free software and having to pester all of my friends to join it, than be bombarded by the psychology of marketing.
