Instagram embedding keeps malfunctioning

Just last week Discord (desktop and mobile) has stopped embedding Instagram images, so only the link itself is displayed. This issue has popped up several times in the past year, seemingly at random. It's really putting a damper on conversation in my server, where we tend to discuss art and fashion. You can imagine that we like to post Instagram links. The only workaround is to take a screenshot of the post and then upload it, which is time-consuming and defeats the purpose of posting a link. Clicking mystery links and going back and forth between Instagram and Discord is equally inconvenient. Please make sure that Instagram embedding is stable in future. Every time it's started working again I still don't trust that we'll have it longer than a month. This is ridiculous.

    Yup. Noticed this too. I'm in many art servers and this makes it so much more difficult.

    Agreed here. Managing social media accounts here, this would be huge help

    So apparently Discord has had Instagram embedding for over a year, but it's only worked intermittently?  I had this beautiful, Elysian day last week where it was working and I was blown away, delighted by the new functionality, only to find that it ceased working the next day and has not worked since.  Why is this so incredibly difficult?  I realize that Instagram is enormously unpleasant to deal with in terms of integration and UX, because that's one way they curtail user behavior and the users are the product, but surely if Discord can competently interact with Facebook, it should be possible to maintain this extremely basic function for more than 24 hours at a stretch.
