Phone Verification Timeout

After deleting previous account at the request of support, I find that I am unable to verify my account due to the phone number timeout. This seems like a major flaw only made worse by the lack of information as to when that timeout might expire.

    Going through this hell now. Was clearing out inactive Discord users on a server I manage, sending them a message letting them know they'd be kicked. That triggered the suspicious activity system and locked me out. I verified with my phone but noticed all my settings seemed to be reset. While I was looking at my settings I saw the number associated with the account and figured I didn't need it anymore and removed it. No warning, boom I'm locked out again and can't re-use that number to verify the account again -_- Would be nice to know how long this will last so I can make a decision about getting my hands on a new phone number or not...

    I have a similar problem. I joined a server with phone verification required, only to realize I was signed into my private account I use for talking to friends and such, so I removed the number from that account, left the server and tried to join on my other account I wanted to use, only for it to not allow me to use the phone number. It would be helpful to know how long the timeout is, as I don’t have 2 phones.

    I am going through the exact same thing right now. I don't know how long the timeout is. It'd be nice if they could let us know.

    same problem with me. I was on a server with the slowest mods and was impatient so I dmed the next mod and the next, then the second I dmed the 6th mod i was locked out and I forgot I used my num to verify my sisters account so im screwed untill cool down is over

    Same thing happened to me. I verified a few days ago when suspicious activity thing came on screen, then today I removed the phone number and I am back on the suspicious activity and I have to wait. I also wanted to enter a contest, but if the timeout ends by June, then I can't enter it :(

    i had this same problem but i luckily somehow got in my main account after a day of this occurring. i'd assume the timeout is 24 hours, since the day before it locked me, the day after i have tried to getting at a point i was let in my main account,

    Same with me but after reading the reports, my suggestion to you all would be to wait for at least 14 days, if not, a month implying that you DO NOT mess with the verification for the time being; I know its gonna be hard but if you refrain from touching it in that time frame, you're in for luck! For those of you who have Discord as the only platform, I would suggest you to make a contact list of all your Discord friends, to use in an alternate account if you have one. OR, you can switch to an alternate social media platform such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Hangouts, etc. It's been a few days I've had this issue but I haven't messed with it much so HOPEFULLY, I could get it back by the end of next month or even two weeks!     Same problem :( I am the admin of a server of around 1500 members and now nothing. are u sure I must attending 24 hours? It happened me 1 hour ago

    Same problem with me. I have 2 Discord accounts. I own a server on my 2nd one (which is not this one), and I wanted to set up 2-factor auth on it (google Auth and SMS) and it worked, but then I received a message on my main account (and the email that it is registered under), it said my phone number was removed and added to a different account. I tried to add it back and it says "This phone number was recently used on a different account". The next day, I try to verify again, the same thing. Then I tried my TextNow number and it's telling me to please use a valid phone number, not a VoIP or landline, though TextNow can receive texts.

    Now I am wondering how long I have to wait before I can verify again. (No, I don't have 2 phones.)
