ping limit

I am part of a staff server for a group and the higher ups are always spamming pings every now and again. Everyone is against the idea of adding a limit to pings and deline the in-server petition I make so the next place is the app itself. I know that if I just have it relate to myself it won't be accepted, so I have read older forms on these forums and I see that many many other servers have the same issue so the developers would be doing the community a great deal by adding either a ping limit to servers or a cooldown of 30 minutes from pinging one role and everyone so that pingspam cannot happen.
