Bluetooth headphones bug - Android

When in a call for any amount of time, there will be times where the app will disregard bluetooth output and input and randomly switch to the phone earpiece and will either use phone input or none at all. On top of this the app will say it's still using the Bluetooth device but isn't. Switching devices during call doesn't fix it, I, and some other people I've talked to, have to leave and rejoin call for it to recognize the Bluetooth device In addition if another audio capable bluetooth device is connected or disconnected (such as and in this example a smart watch), a similar issue occurs, where it will either "switch" to the new device (but instead plays out the earpiece on the phone) or disregards the current device as stated earlier This has been an issue for several months if not longer and among the sea of updates (without available changelogs mind you which I hate), the issue persists. It would be great if this could be fixed rather than implementing new features all the time or unnecessarily reorganizing the menus
