Role specific slow-mode.

Self-explanatory, slow-mode for specific roles. I find it more effective enabling slow-mode for spammers instead of muting them.

    if possible, make it so specific roles have different times on slow mode. One role can only post every 6 hrs and another can post every 5 minutes, a third has no slow mode, etc.
