Disappointed with the most recent change to the quick switcher (Ctrl/Cmd+K)

I hate the fact that I can't quickly cycle through unread channels by pressing Ctrl+K and Enter to jump to the next unread, instead I have to Ctrl+K down arrow Enter, and I have to add the extra keypress (which is far from the homerow) for every unread channel. Slack doesn't have the nice "toggle last recent", but I'd rather NOT have it than have it be the default, I would prefer "unread" be the default, and if I don't have any unread channels I'd want the option of previous channel in case I'm just hopping back and forth between two channels (but that is rarely the case, I tend to jump through multiple Discords and monitor/post in 3-6 channels regularly in each).
