Request for "System default" option in settings for theme
Issue: I use light mode across all of my devices. However, I cannot help but wonder if there is any way to stop the harsh white light blasting into my eyes late at night until I can toggle the dark theme.
Solution: Add a "System default" option that switches the theme of the app to whatever's the phone is on. (Yes, I enable dark mode at night.)
Platform: Android 10 on the Google Pixel 3a, mobile

I second that. iOS 13 and macOS Catalina can switch light/dark mode based on day time. And for example Reddit iOS app has this feature implemented and it's really awesome! - Dark theme -> Automatic (follow iOS settings).

I would really like to see this as well!

But please, don't just implement this on mobile only.
MacOS and Windows have this setting also!

Yes I'd love this, now that so many apps have it, even Gboard detects it, is weird that discord didn't add it yet.

I would also love to to this on my Windows Desktop as i have used registers to switch to dark theme during the night. But i think that only integrated apps cand have this feature i.e. Microsoft Edge and Skype on Windows as they are developed by Microsoft and Gboard as Android uses various Google apps by default.

They finally added it!

This seems to work on Windows and desktop as of the latest update, thanks!

Hi,
While this feature has been added to the Windows desktop client (image - desktop client) and the web client (at least on Windows) (image - web client on Windows running Brave), the feature is not yet present on mobile (at least on Android) (image - Android client on a OnePlus 6T running Android 10)
Much like others in this thread, I try to make all my apps and devices use light mode in the day time and dark mode in the night time. I would greatly appreciate it if you could look into adding the feature to use the system theme to control the app theme, which is available in Android 10 (API v29) and above and iOS 13.0 and above.
Thank you very much in advance. Discord is otherwise a joy to use, and honestly a great showcase for good UI and UX design.
