YouTube Music Integration

How about integration with YouTube Music service and showing current playing song in the profile? I can't know about API features of that service, because i'm not a developer, but i believe that it's avialible to stream songs for other services.
P. S. I don't know, what topic am i need to post it, API or overlay, so i added it in overlay.

    Theres an application called PreMiD. It does what you suggested.

    Thanks for advertising but it's better to add that function in Discord without any other downloadings

    I really want this to be implemented into Discord. Since I don't use Spotify, it would be much easier to have YouTube Music Integration inside of Discord.

    A few time ago i changed my musical service to Spotify. And... In fact, Google said to me that YTM don't have API for sharing music with other apps.

    Maybe, but I'd probably ask Google again, in regards to this. But it's unlikely it won't happen.

    Yeah we rly need this, I don't use spotify and it will be cool for youtube music to show like spotify whenever listening.

    I support this, as I prefer YouTube Music over Spotify because I made my playlist on YouTube.

    You can use this app on your pc: https://ytmdesktop.app/

    Then go to Settings ==> Integrations ==> Discord Rich Presence

    The app also has an auto skip function for disliked songs :D

    Both applications are open source and Mozilla 2.0 / Public Domain. Just read the source code, (click on the "GitHub" link on the bottom of both pages,) verify it's not harmful code and compile it yourself. Both written in JS.

    And YTM currently doesn't have any publicly supported APIs, but the real "issue" is that YTM doesn't even have a standalone application. So the only way for Discord to present that rich status is via a browser plugin or Discord integrating the player itself into its UI. Both ... unsatisfying solutions.

    YTM desktop or another player (VLC maybe?) that can read your YT Music library or a tool that can post custom statuses to Discord for you and you can hook it up any way you want, like premid, are currently the only way to do it, even for Discord itself.

    So yes, Google needs to be bugged to allow some better integration. It would be in their interest, tbh. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
