I think that discord had a new update?

When I was going on discord and I got on and I was in a voice channel with my friends I was lagging so I thought that if I close discord and I leave the chat and talk on Fortnite I wouldn't lag after a few minutes we're going to play a different game so I was going to go back on discord but it wouldn't open for me so I kept on clicking it and it still didn't work. (But I still have the app on my phone just I can't screen share or that kind of stuff.)
