Q Why do I need to select a related Unicode Emoji?

A Adding a related unicode emoji to a custom sticker allows the sticker to show up in our sticker suggestion fields,
which means users who can use your custom stickers will be able to find them easier when looking for stickers to send. This includes:

* Sticker suggestions that appear on desktop and mobile.
* When typing the related Unicode emoji into chat using :name:
* Searching for a sticker in your sticker drawer.

ME If you want a related emoji Let us select one of our Emoji`s to be related Not one of the default ones...

    Yeah, not sure why that isn't an option. It's supposed to be a custom sticker but has to be linked to default emojis? I don't know if Discord responds to feedback so I don't think they'll change this anytime soon

    Nobody's asking WHAT you're supposed to do. The question is "Why is this necessary?" Did you have to set it up that way? Would some piece of code have broken if you hadn't?
