In addition to being extremely harmful to the environment, NFTs are a scam. Implementing them would be an extremely reckless decision for Discord's own bottom line, as whatever profits made from the small minority of users who did not cancel their Nitro subscriptions as a boycott will surely be lost once the NFT financial bubble bursts.
