I don't care about the taskbar flashing, I'm referring the the orange background in the actual text window. If I was talking about the taskbar I would have said taskbar.

Please add this, Pings are highly distracting when i'm trying to work. While you're at it, make Replies default to NOT mentioning the target. People accidentally ping me all the time using this fea...

I think what you mean is Priority. Could be helpful, but only as an optional setting, it would add needless complication.

You can already do special characters, and in some cases it is infuriating. no thanks.
