Discriminators will still exist, this is so dumb

Is everyone at Discord HQ new to the internet? Do y'all not see what is going to happen? Did you put at least 10 minutes of thought into this update?

Since the dawn of internet we have emails and usernames as John2399 or john1992@gmail.com because people have common names and need a discriminator to register their usernames using their names.

Have you ever seen how many variations of the name Destroyer exist in videogames?

You know what will happen after this update gets rolled out? Scams, hacking scandals, account selling and worst of all: Mark#2514 will name themselves @Mark2514 and absolutely nothing will change.
