Make global slash commands available in DM channels with a bot user

I've registered global slash commands with my bot, however it appears that those commands don't show up or are unavailable in a direct message text channel with the bot user. It's often handy to be able to use the bot outside of a guild, especially if I'm making several requests that would otherwise spam up a text channel.
