A server disappeared, but others in server say I am still there, can't rejoin

A relatively small server in my discord disappeared recently. I cannot see it on my server list. However, my friend that runs the server says I am still in the server and cannot kick or ban me from it. Invites do not go through when they are sent to me, it shows up as sent on their side, but no message appear on my side, in DMs or other server. This is a little upsetting as it is my friends server for their YouTube channel, and I want to support them, but can't because I currently have no way to get back into the server.
