Please use background updates instead of auto-update on start.

On desktop please switch to background updating like spotify and chrome. Forced sequential updates before starting is incredibly user hostile, especially how it alerts you every time it updates and if you haven't opened it in a month it has to install 30 slow updates. Effecient "Delta updates" and being able to only install one update even if you're multiple versions behind are old tech. "hey get on discord" *app takes 23 minutes to update.* When combined with how discord starts on boot without asking you, this is super annoying. I understand you want everyone to be on the latest version but this can't be the answer.

    they should definitely add an option to this - would be annoying if you're in the middle of something that requires low latency and a discord update starts. Or if you're in a call and your discord just updates randomly.
