Visual change looks bad.
The new "blurple" replacement looks worse and does not contrast with the background well, and making all mentions white text on new blurple looks terrible, I'm surprised this change even happened.
I tried to see what in the world is wrong with this color in a discussion with some people and we came to the conclusion that Discord reduced the Saturation and Lightness of the previous blurple, which is a terrible change:

Came to post this topic. Usually the changes have been pretty good but this latest one to pretty much every UI area, from mentions to emoji reactions on images, all look pretty awful now. I'm using dark. Not every change is an upgrade.

honestly, i dont hate the color change, the only thing that i hate about the new update is the mentions being harder to notice

I, personally, agree. It looks awful. I hated replies, with every part of my being. They made no sense, auto-ping, and are just unnecessary noise. This, however.. THIS is a WHOLE other level.
Discord went from being pretty normal to hyper contrast, and super deep blue. Honestly, just a god-awful full UI change with zero warning or reason whatsoever.
I'm sorry Discord, genuinely, I expected better of you.0
