Goodbye to Wave to Say Hi! 👋

I just want to be able to hide all of these waves. I think it's fine that they exist to greet new members and all. But I am subscribed to many servers. I see this little bump here:

and I want to check if a worthwhile conversation is happening. More often than not, it's just these waves for random people who don't even introduce themselves. I don't want to waste my time clicking through a bunch of servers with only waves in them. As a result, I ignore more and more of these notification bumps and then, no surprise, I discover that I miss actual conversations I might have wanted to take part in.

Give users the option to hide these waves either entirely or per channel. Or make them not deliver this notification bump. Tie it to roles if you wish, let people mark themselves as greeters or not. Something. Please give us more control over this feature.
