Users Profiles?

When we click a user name, the information we get is really scarce. I am astonished nobody asked for more.
Look at profiles in Second Life. We have several thumbnails:
-general, with name, gender, a pic, a brief description of our purposes, and the groups we belong to
-competences
-interests
-favourite places, each with a pic and a description
-info on our physical life

All of this optionnal, or course.

Thanks to see. Not much of a burden, but so useful. When somebody pops in a server, at least we know a little about this person.

    While I get where you're coming from for user profiles, you can still add pretty much any of those things/topics you have mentioned in your comparison to “Second Life”. There's an option to add pronounces, about me section, user's display name and a few other custom options. It may not be the same thing but it's close to what you're referring to.
