Desktop Notifications and "NEW MESSAGES" Red Bar

Here's two things I find really annoying about Discord, one, even if you get shown a Desktop Notification, it still shows up as a new message when you go back to the Discord window. Please address this by preventing the New Message thing after a desktop notification.

Secondly, I also find it quite annoying that you have to reply to something to get rid of the red "NEW MESSAGES" bar. Please make it so that after you focus the tab (Or get a desktop notification), it goes away.

Sorry if the Topic isn't quite right, I just went for something that in some way both my issues fit into. I will continue to use Discord though, because it's awesome aside from these two issues. (Also, Discord overlay doesn't play nicely with Minecraft, or maybe it's Steam overlay I'm thinking about, idr)

    Instead of replying, simply pressing ESC marks the channel as read or shift + esc to mark ALL channels in a server as read.
