Display a warning when you are typing, and you are not currently viewing the latest messages on the current channel

I often find myself accidentally responding to old messages, because I am not scrolled all the way to the bottom of the current channel, and I don't realize it until I press enter and suddenly I'm looking at a completely different conversation.  

Could we get a little warning above the chat box when typing that lets us know when our scroll bar is not all the way down at the bottom of the current channel?

    Most of the times, there is a gray box at the bottom of the page (or the top of your typing box) which states that "You are viewing older messages" which you can click to scroll automatically to the bottom of the page.
