Hide cursor while typing

When we are typing an emote (e.g.  :minglee:), the cursor is not hidden and there's a chance the cursor will select an unwanted different emote in the emote selection menu, and it's been extremely frustrating that I had to move my cursor away to make sure the cursor isn't choosing a wrong emote.
