How to block spammers?

I run a server called Amateur Artists where I mainly gear it towards teens and young adults, but I have had multiple people (or bots, not sure which) join my server and post the same message in multiple channels about their "naked pictures" and a link to a website. I don't want that in my server.
I haven't followed the link and I've deleted the messages and banned the people responsible, but I just keep getting more of them coming in and doing the same thing.
How do I keep it from happening?
