Desktop app shuts down when using video

I've been using Discord as a form of Zoom/Skype or whatever during the pandemic. However, when my video is on for about an hour or so, the desktop app completely crashes and takes a while to restart. This will happen multiple times. The app is completely up to date and this happens in calls with one or more people. Any suggestions?
