Can push notifications for larger servers be brought back?

I'm in a big server and already muted the channels I have little interest in, so we can't I recieve push notifications for the server? It's really annoying to have to constantly go back on to the app, just to check if there's been a message or not. Give people the option to opt in to the feature or not.
