Wouldn't be a really cool idea to be able to replace peoples usernames with nicknames you give people?

  I think he might mean like nicknames for other users profile, such as in DM's. But if this is what he means, I don't really see a need or purpose for it, considering we've survived these many years perfectly fine without them.
